Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province, China, is famous for its rural landscapes and towering mountains bordering Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam. On an afternoon in December, photographer Suffo Moncloa drove 3,000 meters above sea level into the city’s hills to capture the surreal views. Here, he pairs his photos from China with editorial images featuring Riccardo Tisci’s highly anticipated debut collection for Burberry SS19.

Famed graphic designer Peter Saville was commissioned to develop a new logo for the label to accompany Tisci’s creative direction. In Saville’s design, the letter "T"—a nod to the brand’s founder, Thomas—interlocks with "B" for Burberry. The infinite, grid-like logo is a prominent component of the brand’s fresh identity—think of it as the Gen-Z sibling to Burberry plaid. Tisci’s collection is a thorough reimagining of the 160-year-old brand, ushering in a new era for the storied fashion house. Enter the new Burberry Kingdom.
