One-to-watch designer Andreas Aresti launched his inaugural womenswear label Lourdes in 2020. Named after Aresti’s mother—a first-generation immigrant from Peru—the New York-based brand offers easy-to-wear pieces inspired by the designer’s Queens upbringing in the mid '90s. Showcasing a refreshingly askew sense for proportion, familiar silhouettes are reversed and flipped upside down to create new shapes. The result is a collection of artfully-twisted everyday basics. Multilayered rib knit tops and draped dresses are counterbalanced by generous leather and denim jackets. Multi-pocketed jeans, deconstructed polos, and windbreakers-turned-dresses underscore the irreverent spirit of the brand.
