Undercoverism is a menswear line aimed at introducing a new generation to the avant-garde creations of influential streetwear designer Jun Takahashi. Launched in 2021 by cult brand Undercover, the Japanese label applies Takahashi’s fanciful sensibility to a selection of everyday staples. Distorted shapes, colors, materials, and details turn traditional garments like T-shirts, jeans, and bomber jackets into dark hallucinations. The brand maintains the underlying form of these casual pieces while injecting them with elements of unruly tailoring, including chaotic rows of buttons, unpredictable gatherings, and ruptured seams.
