Che-Wei Wang and Taylor Levy founded design studio CW&T in 2009 to make the everyday products they wanted to see in the world. Hailing from Tokyo and Montreal respectively and now based in Brooklyn, the duo keeps their meticulous production process close to home by conceptualizing, designing, and prototyping their genre-bending products in-house. Diverse objects ranging from pens and jump ropes to pendant lamps are conscientiously designed to optimize their existing functionality while heavy-duty materials such as stainless steel, brass, and titanium offer lasting durability. Utilitarian pieces with dual functions—like pens that double as rulers or bookmarks—cater to artists, architects, and graphic designers alike, while familiar lighting fixtures arrive in 3D-printed designs for unique additions to any space. Self-dubbed as “medium agnostic,” CW&T is a seamless two-person operation offering minimal products purposely over-engineered to last a lifetime.
