British skin care brand Haeckels crafts artisanal products fashioned from the sea. Founded in 2012 by volunteer beach warden Dom Bridges, the brand draws inspiration—and ingredients—from its coastal setting in Margate. Born in Bridge’s kitchen and recently expanded to include a local lab and manufacturing facility, Haeckels offers a range of organic products including facial cleansers, serums, and delicately crafted scents for the home and body. Ocean-derived vitamins and antioxidant-rich algae and seaweed commingle in small-batch soaps and exfoliants. Bridges works to preserve the brand's Kentish base through local conservation initiatives, meaning that Haeckels’ handcrafted products showcase the abundance of the sea without depleting its myriad resources.
