Central Saint Martins graduate Louisa Ballou debuted her eponymous beach and swimwear label in 2019. Born in South Carolina, the young designer finds inspiration in her coastal upbringing and explores our relationship to water and the rich subculture of surfing through her work. Ballou’s dynamic collections are defined by her vibrant and innovative prints that reference the tropical environment of her childhood. In her kidswear designs, vivid patterns find their way onto sensible rash guards, practical shorts and button-down shirts, ingeniously turning beachwear into daywear. With a focus on quality and fit, Ballou’s line of versatile swimwear strikes the perfect balance between functionality and fun.
