Grey Ant’s vision is rooted in the subtle interplay between reverence and innovation. Based in LA, founder and designer Greg Krajecki launched the brand in 1998, focusing primarily on apparel. When former intern Natalie Levy joined as a partner in 2004, the brand’s scope broadened to include eyewear, eventually moving away from clothing entirely. This decision proved to be a defining factor of success, granting the brand a CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund finalist spot in 2014. This insistence on growth and evolution permeate the brand’s aesthetic. Chunky yet lightweight acetate iterations and wire-frame aviator designs are reinvigorated with modern angular frames and fresh color palettes. Aesthetic ingenuity is equally matched by a dedication to quality—each pair of sunglasses is handcrafted in Italy and produced in limited supply, ensuring attention to detail is given on every level.
