After studying at The Royal College of Art, Jiye Shin collaborated with Jaeeun Shin, her sister and Central Saint Martins Fashion and Womenswear graduate, to found the namesake jewelry brand Jiye Shin. The pair draws on their familial history to inform a diverse range of nuanced adornment. Since 2018, The Shin sisters have delivered designs that reflect a sharpened understanding of the contemporary moment and its relationship to the past. Jiye Shin’s designs routinely feature delicate semi-precious stones set in hammered or antiqued metals, craft techniques that nod to fading memories of the past. Classic chain-link necklaces marked by innovative sculptural pendants reflect Jiye Shin’s appreciation for tradition while maintaining a keen inclination toward the future.
