Officine Générale HATS

Pierre Maheo launched Officine Générale in 2012 as a channel for exploring a level of materials and craftsmanship previously inaccessible to him during his decade-long collision with margin-driven mass-market fashion. An upbringing steeped in the seemingly contradictory duality posed by his most immediate male influences—his grandfather, a tailor; his father, an oysterman—had bestowed Maheo with a deep appreciation for cut and silhouette, and for durability in the face of ceaseless wear and tear. Predictably, these qualities are immaculately synthesized throughout Officine Générale’s suite of menswear staples, which, in full ensemble or as accent, confer a distinctly French touch over a wide spectrum of sartorial formality. From the exterior (casual suiting, down parkas, felted overcoats) to the interior (wool crewnecks, robust hoodies, cotton jersey t-shirts finished in classic Breton stripe), Officine Générale burnishes its inherently conservative timelessness into a reliably smart selection of attire.
