Virón HIGH TOP SNEAKERS

After a combined twenty-five years of experience in the industry, eco-conscious designers Mats Rombaut and Julian Romer launched Virón, a plant-based footwear brand with a sustainable approach to high-fashion. In theme with its ethically-sourced recycled materials, PETA certified products, and use of earth-toned palettes, the Paris-based label’s name is derived from an amalgamation of the French and English word for “environment.” Discrete low and high-top sneakers made from recycled army tent canvas are offered in tones of olive green, off-white, and black, and coupled with the brand’s ubiquitous chunky outsole. Innovative faux-leather boots made partly from apple and corn wastes tout countercultural motifs with patched poster-like prints at the ankles. Working with various outside organizations to guarantee transparency, sustainability, and quality, Virón offers a prudent vision of what responsible luxury can be.
