CFCL LEGGINGS
CFCL—Clothing For Contemporary Life—embodies designer Yusuke Takahashi’s aspiration to create sustainably produced unisex garments with universal appeal. Takahashi launched CFCL in 2020 after six years as director of Issey Miyake Men. By fusing its intent with its identity, CFCL foregrounds its primary mission: to meet the diverse needs of increasingly environmentally conscious users. To this end, Takahashi leverages his knowledge of computer knitting technology to craft pieces ample enough for easy lounging but striking enough for formal occasions. The line ranges from minimal cropped tees and sleeveless knits to stretch ribbed dresses and voluminous drape-pleated skirts. Innovative sustainable yarns are deployed in neutral monochromes, resulting in advanced knitwear that is luxurious and easy to maintain. Rather than participating in the seasonal collection cycle, items are delivered in yearly volumes based on feedback from customers, ensuring CFCL’s continued commitment to conscious, comfortable sophistication with every iteration.
