FARIS ACCESSORIES
After leaving a career in architecture, Faris du Graf took an audacious dip into the design world completing classes in metalsmithing and jewelry-making at London’s Central Saint Martins before launching her eponymous label in Seattle, Washington. Raised by modern furniture specialists, Du Graff has a background in form and structure yet she paints outside the lines and does so elegantly. FARIS embodies an “old-school made modern” spirit —transforming classic ear adornments like hoop earrings, drop earrings, or cuffs into artfully irregular, sculptural objects. Studs hug the lobe or helix while undulating, yonic shapes adorn simple chain-link necklaces or band rings. Inspired by both her natural and urban surroundings, organic elements like onyx gemstones and Keshi pearls play with gravity—suspended in space—merging effortlessly with sterling silver or bronze compositions. FARIS draws strength from the fountain of femininity by producing bold and experimental designs while staying true to a modernist vision of timeless accessories for women.
