Herno DOWN
Giuseppe Marenzi and his wife Alessandra Diana founded Herno in 1948 in the small Northern town of Lesa, Italy. Like the Erno river from which it draws its name, Herno approaches the production of luxurious yet functional women’s outerwear with an interest in longevity, ecology, and the beauty of Italian landscape. With ethical and environmental responsibility at the heart of its production, the meticulous crafting of Herno’s durable outerwear is accomplished with a combination of traditional machinery and modern, sustainable technologies. In 2000, Marenzi’s son Claudio took over the family business, bringing a fresh perspective to its designs while maintaining Herno’s classic subdued palette and versatile shapes.
