Aitor Throup’s TheDSA LOUNGE PANTS

Aitor Throup’s gender-neutral project, TheDSA, infuses accessible street and loungewear with a carefully-crafted sense of individualism. The project (Throup deliberately eschews the term “brand”) offers everyday closet staples such as hoodies, t-shirts, and lounge pants, foregoing logos in lieu of hand-drawn designs sourced from the designer’s Daily Sketchbook Archive. Each article produced bears the unique graphic and archive number of a corresponding sketch from Throup’s Instagram assemblage of daily drawings. Once used, the original design is permanently retired, preserving the individuality of each garment. This mindful approach allows for each piece to remain pure to its purpose.
