With the ambition of translating distinct memories and emotions into scents and experiences, Ben Gorham established Stockholm-based luxury perfume label Byredo in 2006. After graduating from the Stockholm Art School with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Gorham met esteemed Swedish perfumer Pierre Wulff and was instantly captivated by his work. This chance encounter inspired Goham to delve into the realm of his own olfactory desires and develop fragrances that tactfully marry smell and recollection. Byredo (A clever contraction of “by redolence”) has since expanded beyond perfumes and candles, rounding out its offering with handbags, small leather goods, and eyewear. Thoroughly modern and elegant, titanium-framed sunglasses, soft calfskin and lambskin crossbody bags, totes, and wallets embody the same clean and minimal design aesthetic the brand is known for. With boutiques in major cities around the globe and noteworthy collaborations, Byredo has its foot on the gas as it continues to ascend into the world of fashion.
