Screen Test #5: Belts ASMR

Shot at our headquarters in Montreal and inspired by the videos of Andy Warhol, the SSENSE “Screen Test” series is a way to evaluate the camera-readiness of our products.

For this season, SSENSE has invited photographer Rebecca Storm to create a series of Screen Tests inspired by the ASMR video genre. These recordings of “ASMRtists” performing everyday activities require close listening: Their calming and repetitive sounds are designed to induce the strangely euphoric scalp-tingling sensation of Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response.

In this installment of the series, Storm turns our attention to compression. Here, the clinks and clicks of belts and belted styles from Sacai, Toga Pulla, Fleet Ilya, and Maison Margiela are used to complement one of the most satisfying sounds of all time: popping bubble wrap.
