SUBU 平底鞋

Founded in 2016 by Toshihiko Fukawa, SUBU offers versatile Japanese footwear for modern rituals. Inspired by the shoes worn by Buddhist monks of eras past as they made their pilgrimages along the Shikoku trail, SUBU reinvents a time-honored tradition with its unique range of essentialist slip-ons. Signature mule and low-top designs feature pared-down aesthetics with technical details. Uppers are made in lightweight nylon or technical satin for strolling the neighborhood or sturdy Cordura® canvas for peak outdoor performance. Available in vibrant and neutral colorways, including exclusive nature-inspired graphics, each shoe is Teflon™-coated and lined with fleece for weather resistance and coziness and features a treaded sole. Marrying form and function, SUBU winter sandals are made to conform to the daily routines of their wearers.
