Martine Ali

Bringing back the heavy chains of early 2000s hip-hop, Brooklyn-based jewelry brand Martine Ali is making big waves in both the fashion and music industries. Fresh out of Visual Arts studies at Fordham University, Chicago-born designer Martine Ali was commissioned to design pieces for both the collection and runway during her internship with DKNY. Since, Ali has wholly focused on her own design and experimentation to develop the brand that has gone on to create jewelry for some of the biggest names in music. Inspired by the designer’s own upbringing in the late '90s spent watching television programs like MTV’s TRL and listening to the generation’s influential hip-hop artists, Martine Ali specializes in chain jewelry of all sorts: Cuban-link wallet chains and chokers, bracelets that feature dog tags as well as toggle clips, and oval link Gunnar chain belts. Ali doesn’t design for any one specific wearer, but rather for all those with a propensity for developing a well-rounded personal style, and those looking for lasting signature pieces.
