HOPE SHIRT

Stockholm-based fashion and lifestyle brand Hope was founded in 2001 by designers Ann Ringstrand and Stefan Söderberg. Although their original focus was on women’s clothing, the duo quickly expanded into menswear, launching their first collection in 2005. Originally inspired by the clean lines and tried-and-true utility of uniforms and workwear, the Scandinavian label’s understated designs became known for prioritizing functionality while maintaining sophistication. Now under the design direction of Frida Bard, who spent 13 years at Acne Studios, the label is enlivening classic tailoring with unexpected proportions and colorful accents. Staying true to the original brand ethos of serviceability and style, garments are constructed using high-quality fabrics, like wool and denim, that age gradually and authentically with frequent wear. Thoughtfully considered design details like hidden closures, modified pockets, and contemporary cuts enhance the uniqueness of outerwear, knits, and trousers without compromising their status as everyday essentials.
