Peter Do TROUSERS

Brooklyn-based designer Peter Do launched his eponymous womenswear label in 2018, after honing his modernist tailoring skills under Phoebe Philo and Derek Lam. Inspired by classic menswear suiting with a focus on clean lines and strong silhouettes, the 2014 LVMH Graduate Prize winner’s beautifully constructed garments boast a confident blend of sophistication, whimsy, and inherent wearability. Do believes in creating garments to live in—a notion reflected across his ready-to-wear and accessories. Experimental layering and razor-sharp pleating create visual interest while utilitarian details such as pockets and self-tie straps add a level of functionality to high editorial designs. Ranging from spongy sheer separates and trompe l’oeil dresses to classic tuxedo trousers and sleek long-lined coats, Do’s designs are simultaneously playful and powerful.
