Poster Girl SKIRTS
London-based label Poster Girl infuses millennial pastiche and self-confidence into its line of fearless womenswear. Designer-duo Francesca Capper and Natasha Somerville met while studying at Central Saint Martins before joining forces in 2017 to celebrate hyper-feminine fashion. The two draw from different stylistic arenas—Capper from edgy heritage houses and Somerville from younger directional American brands—to produce nostalgia-inspired attire for contemporary trendsetters. Shimmering sequined short skirts and crop tops steeped in ‘90s nostalgia are recreated with luxurious craftsmanship and outré cuts. Short hems, deep necklines, neon feather detailing, and iridescent textures are rendered in high-gloss looks ready for paparazzi photos while skipping the line at a downtown club. Feisty yet refined, Poster Girl translates an aughties edge into eye-popping garments that are decidedly of the present.
