STORY mfg. CARDIGANS

Launched in 2013 by Saeed and Katy Al-Rubeyi, STORY mfg.’s line of free-spirited, relaxed pieces exemplifies nature-led slow fashion. The UK-based label produces much of its collection in India, working with artisans who dye, weave, embroider, and tailor the garments by hand. Smock jackets are stitched with eye-catching imagery, crocheted scarves spotlight the texture of natural fibers, and relaxed silhouettes are adorned with practical detailing. For durability and sustainability, STORY mfg. looks to processes used in the construction of vintage workwear and military clothing, using only natural, biodegradable materials and upcycled fiber offcuts.
