Fleet Ilya HATS

In 2000 London-based designers, self-proclaimed ‘leather provocateurs,’ and husband-and-wife duo, Ilya Fleet and Resha Sharma, founded Fleet Ilya with the intention of uniting the worlds of fetishism and high-fashion. Fleet’s knowledge of equestrian saddle-making merges with Sharma’s Central Saint Martin’s graphic design background to forge a brand that, while materially based, is conceptually focused with regards to its approach to leather construction. Embracing an aesthetic that emphasizes sexual playfulness as much as it does the visual vocabulary of restraint, the duo seek to explore unknown terrain when it comes to the erotic possibilities of leather. Embellished with bold hardware, the collection features leather harnesses, chokers, and handcuffs that sculpt the body whilst remaining functional. Infused with a beautifully raw albeit sadomasochistic edge, each expertly handcrafted piece is elevated through the quality of its material and structural design. Subversive yet sophisticated, defiant yet discreet, Fleet Ilya occupies a liminal zone, a place where opposites meet, in order to bring into creation the new and daringly unexpected.
