ts(s) designer Takuji Suzuki developed his passion for clothing at a young age. The self-proclaimed “clothing maniac” spent his adolescence seeking rare vintage workwear and military pieces to add to his closet. After graduating with a degree in dress design from the Kuwasawa Design Institute in Japan, Suzuki launched his inaugural menswear brand—originally entitled TS—in 1999. In 2009, Suzuki renamed the label ts(s) to reflect the brand’s updated aesthetic. ts(s) specializes in casual workwear, offering a wide range of cozy knitwear, loose trousers, and laid-back jackets rendered in a rich, earthy palette. The label’s comfy yet utilitarian garments are crafted from high-quality wool, linen, and hand-dyed cotton yarn. Suzuki’s designs combine simple silhouettes, subtle color patterns, intricate detailing, and unique textiles to create a fresh perspective in contemporary menswear.
