London-based designer Maximilian Davis was working under Wales Bonner before his namesake label made its acclaimed debut at Fashion East SS21. Celebrating sexuality, fancy dress, and West Indies identity, Maximillian’s thoughtful and intuitive womenswear traces a through-line of influences spanning from the nineteenth-century genesis of the Trinidadian Canboulay to the styles of the early 2000s MTV era.
