New York designer Emily Adams Bode launched her namesake label in 2016. A year later, the CFDA Fashion Awards recipient became the first female designer to show at New York Fashion Week: Men’s, after which her brand quickly earned a devoted following for its inventive use of antique fabrics and workwear silhouettes. Representing an examination of personal history and traditional craftsmanship, Bode’s garments are tailor-made in New York and New Delhi, using materials from the designer’s collection of vintage textiles, tablecloths, bed linens, and handkerchiefs.
