ERL T-SHIRTS

Designer Eli Russell Linnetz helms ERL, a multidisciplinary and collaborative fashion-based project born out of LA’s vibrant energy. Before launching ERL, Linnetz, who spearheaded the undertaking, was primarily known for his photography work—having shot pictures for the likes of the Kardashians and Lady Gaga. Although Linnetz studied screenwriting at the University of Southern California, it was in the university’s opera department where the young designer learned how to sew, making stage costumes to help cover the cost of his tuition. With ERL Linnetz intended to create a unisex label that evoked feelings of nostalgia, a yearning for a youthful past. Taking inspiration from ‘90s Pixar films, Venice Beach skate culture, and the Santa Monica swim team, each piece is reminiscent of growing up in-and-around LA. Featuring T-shirts, hoodies, swimsuits, and accessories, the womenswear collection arrives in an array of vibrant colors and interesting textiles. Each piece is defined by its straightforward and laid-back approach to design. ERL pulsates with vital sentimentality, promising a return to simpler times.
