Daydreams have the ability to cloak the sharpness of memory under a cloud of nostalgia, blurring the lines between reality and abstraction. New York City-based label Les Reveries channels this emotion into its refreshingly playful and romantic womenswear. After working in fashion for several years, sisters Wayne Lee and Ai Ly established their label in 2018, distilling their shared influences and expertise into dreamily-envisaged designs sparked by childhood memories of garments worn by the women in their family. Les Reveries has found its niche in an almost ethereal yet wholly modern ready-to-wear collection. Rendered in signature floral prints and further elevated with ruffles, gathered seams, and unexpected cut-outs, reimagined 90s-inspired minidresses, floaty midi frocks, and pastel-colored blouses find as much relevance in casual daytime settings as they do in evening occurences. At once bold and poetic, Les Reveries’ designs harness a sense of free-spiritedness that speaks to a multitude of style inclinations.
