Suicoke
Cult Japanese label Suicoke was established in 2006. Originally involved in the production of small accessories, the brand’s collaboration with Italian outsole manufacturer Vibram resulted in a foray into performance footwear. Although their collections were originally released exclusively in Japan, the label has since expanded distribution, achieving further success through collaborations with partners across the globe. Functional, androgynous forms are infused with a fashion-forward aesthetic, projecting a sense of creative freedom unconstrained by genre. Huarache-reminiscent flats contradict their vintage inspiration with technical nylon canvas construction, while bold multi-strap sandals are balanced by treaded platform soles. Smooth neoprene and durable Velcro fastenings provide laid-back slip-ons with a dose of utilitarian appeal. Designs rendered in a vibrant range of colorways complement an array of personal styles, asserting their status as wardrobe workhorses.
