Los Angeles ready-to-wear label Bureau de Stil relies on sophisticated tailoring to craft structural wardrobe staples. Founding creative director Ben Taverniti shifted gears from his streetwear past at cult label Unravel with the launch of Bureau de Stil in 2020. Its monolithic womenswear is heavily influenced by brutalist architecture. Exuding subtle femininity, modern silhouettes resemble urban structures with geometric formations. Luxurious cashmere sweaters and soft overshirts are artisanally crafted in Florence, Italy. Aware of the damaging environmental impact of the denim industry, Taverniti imports Italian organic denim to ensure sustainable techniques in both fashioning and washing. Straight-leg iterations have intricately twisted seams, while slim-fit options are beautifully treated for a natural vintage finish. As a mindful reaction to over-consumption, Bureau de Stil’s luxury garments offer clean-lined versatility with a progressive flair.
