Stand Studio

Drawn to and roused by her family’s venerable history in the leather industry, creative director Nellie Kamras launched luxury label Stand Studio in Stockholm in 2014. Rather than constructing seasonal ready-to-wear collections around devised motifs, her approach to fashion is centered around a passion for leather and textiles with an emphasis on outerwear. French-inspired, feminine silhouettes are both eye-catching and unconventional, assembled from a wide range of premium lamb and calf hides, wool, fur and faux-fur. In keeping with the label's Scandinavian roots, Kamras’ forward-thinking designs are grounded in purity and simplicity, intended as easy companions to the wearer's favorite wardrobe staples. Artisanally-crafted coats and jackets are elevated with elegant tailoring, sherpa and shearling trims, animal patterns, and colorblocking. Pieces are perpetually pivoted in an easy-going fashionability that suits everyday life while managing to find relevance throughout all seasons. Soft lambskin trousers and shiny PVC parkas are natural statement pieces, whereas elegant leather trench coats and signature faux-fur jackets are textbook exhibits of Stand Studio’s easy-chic aesthetic.
