Attitude is paramount for Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida, the Portuguese-born and London-based team behind their namesake womenswear line. After stints at Central Saint Martins and working under Vivienne Westwood, the pair launched Marques’Almeida in 2011 with a collection of reconfigured frayed denim that has since become a signature. Their skill at investing sophisticated constructions with the ease and spirit of a 90s alternative sensibility won them 2015’s LVMH Prize for Young Designers, and their collections continue to maintain an effortless balance of luxury and grit.
